Reminder: No trespassing on the Bonnechere River behind the McDougall Mill Museum by the hydro dam.
It has come to our attention that there has been an increase in trespassing on very unsafe shorelines and water by the hydro dam. Please be aware that the area behind McDougall Mill Museum below the dam is strictly off-limits for fishing, swimming, or any other water activities.
Why is this important? Water levels and currents in this area are determined by the hydro dam, and trespassing could lead to serious risks of injury or death should the dam be opened.
Please respect the boundaries in place to protect everyone. Your safety is our top priority, and we appreciate your cooperation in keeping our community safe.
Help spread the word to ensure everyone stays safe by sharing this information with your children, family members, and friends.
