The Town of Renfrew is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2026 Volunteer of the Year Awards, recognizing individuals and organizations whose dedication, volunteerism, and community spirit help make Renfrew an exceptional place to live.

• Community Champion of the Year: Charlene Riopelle
• Senior Volunteer of the Year: Bruce Rozycki
• Non-Profit Organization of the Year: Renfrew Rotary

The Volunteer of the Year Selection Committee extends its sincere thanks to all residents who submitted nominations this year. The committee was inspired by the many stories highlighting the generosity, leadership, and community involvement of people across Renfrew.

We also extend congratulations to all nominees and finalists. Your contributions continue to strengthen our community and make a lasting difference in the lives of others.

The 2026 award recipients will be formally recognized during the Canada Day opening ceremonies at 2:00 PM at Ma-te-Way Park. Residents, friends, and community members are warmly invited to attend and help celebrate the outstanding individuals and organizations being honoured this year.
