Skilled Operator/Landfill Operator

The Town of Renfrew invites applications for the position of Skilled Operator/Landfill Operator II. 

Under the supervision of the Public Works Supervisor the Skilled Operator will be responsible for operating winter maintenance equipment to ensure safe and accessible roadways (including shovelling) during snow and ice events. Also responsible for maintenance, repairs, cleaning and general upkeep of Town infrastructure.  Under the supervision of the Manager of Environmental Services, the Landfill Operator II has an important role in working with customers, spotting trucks, directing users, and handling, sorting, managing, compacting and covering materials received at the landfill using equipment that is provided. 

This is a full-time permanent position, 40 hours per week, working as a Skilled Operator from November to April and transitioning to a Landfill Operator II from May through October each year.

Maintenance, Labourer, Janitor (MLJ): Part-Time/Term

The Town of Renfrew invites applications for the position of Maintenance, Labourer, Janitor. Under the supervision of the Recreation Operations Supervisor and the Recreation Lead Hands, the Maintenance, Labourer, Janitor is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the myFM Centre and Ma-te-Way Park. The Maintenance, Labourer, Janitor will perform a variety of physical tasks to ensure the safety, cleanliness and functionality of Town of Renfrew recreation facilities for patrons and staff.  This is a part-time position (approximately 20 hours per week) with a 6-month term. The work schedule will primarily consist of evening and weekend shifts, with occasional daytime shifts as needed. Post-secondary students are welcome to apply.
