Automated Speed Enforcement on Raglan Street

The County of Renfrew is moving forward with the implementation of Automated Speed Enforcement (ASE) on Raglan Street.

Public Statement: County of Renfrew to Implement Automated Speed Enforcement on Raglan Street

The County of Renfrew is moving forward with the implementation of Automated Speed Enforcement (ASE) - commonly known as photo radar - on select County Roads to improve safety in high-risk areas, particularly near schools and pedestrian crossings.

Please note: This is a County of Renfrew initiative and is not operated, managed, or implemented by the Town of Renfrew.

Local Location:

  • County Road 52 (Raglan Street) in the Town of Renfrew – near the school/pedestrian crossing.

Program Information:

This Renfrew County Council-approved initiative is being delivered in partnership with LAS through AMO Business Services, which will operate and maintain the ASE equipment. All ticket processing will be handled through the County’s Provincial Offences Act (POA) office.

The goal of this program is to promote safer driving behavior and protect vulnerable road users, particularly children. While minor grace speeds may be built into the enforcement system, the public is reminded that the posted speed limit on black-and-white signs is the legal limit, and it's best to drive at or below that speed.
