Position Description:

Under the direct supervision of the Deputy Treasurer, with assignments from the Treasurer and Compensation/Finance Specialist, the Revenue Coordinator is responsible for a wide variety of revenue and billing functions.

Qualifications:

• Diploma and training in accounting, office administration or business-related field.

• Experience in municipal environment (two years) preferred. Familiarity with municipal administration and operations considered an asset.

• Highly developed organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize conflicting deadlines.

• Excellent word processing skills with advance knowledge of Adobe, MS Word, Excel, Access, and other Windows applications.

• Experience in account reconciliations. Familiarity with municipal financial software considered to be an asset (currently using Asyst).

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including drafting business letters and reports.

• Experience in billing functions, including water, taxation, and accounts receivable.

• Knowledge of applicable legislation regarding the position and the Town’s financial systems, processes, policies, and controls.

• Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and discretion.
