Share Your Stories - Help Bring Renfrew’s History to Life!

McDougall Mill is working with Bloomberg Connects to bring Renfrew’s history, people, and stories to life in a digital format!

The McDougall Mill Museum is working in partnership with Bloomberg Connects to bring Renfrew’s history, people, and stories to life in a digital format. This exciting project will enhance the museum experience by allowing visitors to explore exhibits from all three floors, while both onsite and online, making our local history more accessible to everyone, including those who may not be able to navigate the museum’s stairs.

As part of this initiative, the museum is collecting community stories through audio recordings to help digitize and enrich our exhibitions while preserving Renfrew’s heritage for future generations.

We’re reaching out to residents, past and present, to help us capture the memories and experiences that tell the story of our community. Whether it’s a personal recollection, a family story passed down through generations, or something recorded in a journal, letter, or photograph, we’d love to hear from you!

If you or someone you know has a story to tell related to any of the topics listed below, please get in touch with Glenn Charron at the Town of Renfrew through email at gcharron@renfrew.ca or through phone at 613-401-9916.

Your memories are an important part of Renfrew’s story, and together we can help keep that history alive.
