The Town of Renfrew extends our sincere appreciation to Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke MPP Billy Denault and the Ontario Ministry of Transportation (MTO) for their continued efforts in advancing the Highway 17 Arnprior to Renfrew Twinning Project.

The municipality thanks MPP Denault for his ongoing advocacy in ensuring the Highway 17 expansion remains a provincial priority and that meaningful steps continue to be taken to move the project forward.

The Town of Renfrew also recognizes the Ministry of Transportation (MTO) for its continued management of this complex project, including the recent public consultation sessions that provided residents and stakeholders with opportunities to learn more about the project and provide feedback. The Ministry’s earlier announcement of the Request for Proposals (RFP) for detailed design engineering services marked another important milestone in the project's progression.

The Highway 17 expansion project is critical to improving public safety and supporting long-term economic growth and vitality throughout the region, province, and country. The Town of Renfrew looks forward to continuing to work with Provincial partners as the project advances through its next phases.
