Canada Day Celebrations Update

Update on Canada Day Celebrations: Heat-Related Adjustments

With the hot weather forecast, we've made a few changes to help everyone stay safe and comfortable while enjoying Canada Day at Ma-te-Way Park.

🌡️ Temperatures are expected to feel like +45°C, so we've moved several activities inside the air-conditioned myFM Centre and relocated other attractions closer to the building for easier access to cooling.

🗺️ Check out the updated event map below to see where everything is now located.

📅 Be sure to click on the agenda to view it full-screen and check the timing of all activities and entertainment throughout the day.

💧 Stay hydrated!

Water refill stations are available inside the myFM Centre.

Bring a reusable water bottle.

Take regular breaks indoors to cool down.

Avoid spending extended periods of time in direct sunlight.

🎆 Fireworks are currently scheduled to proceed as planned at dusk (approximately 9:50 p.m.) at Ma-te-Way Park.

A huge thank you to our Title Sponsor, Q Cycle and Sport, for helping make this celebration possible!

We also gratefully acknowledge the support of Ontario Power Generation (OPG) and the Federal Government of Canada, whose contributions help make this community celebration a success.

We can't wait to celebrate Canada Day with everyone. Stay cool, stay hydrated, and we'll see you at Ma-te-Way Park!
