Last Updated:  May 22, 2026

Expected Completion Date: July 2026

Contractor: McCrea Excavating Ltd.

Project Details:

The Town of Renfrew is proceeding with an asphalt rehabilitation project starting May 25th, 2026 on Seventh Street between Barnet Boulevard and O’Brien Road. The scope of work includes asphalt rehabilitation and improvements to roadway drainage patterns.

It was identified that two watermains exist along Seventh Street, including a dead-end watermain near Barnet Boulevard that currently requires regular flushing to maintain water quality. To improve water circulation and eliminate the need for ongoing flushing, the project will include looping the existing watermain with the second watermain along Seventh Street.

This additional work will require full-depth road reconstruction in the affected area. The project is being administered by Egis Group, with construction carried out by McCrea Excavating Ltd.
