Town of Renfrew Announces Organization Transition in the Office of the CAO
The Town of Renfrew is announcing that Gloria Raybone will be leaving her position as Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) effective November 27, 2025. This change follows discussions among Council regarding the skillset desired to support the Town’s direction and operational requirements moving forward. On November 25, 2025 Town Council formally requested that Mayor Sidney initiate the transition process using the authority granted under Strong Mayor legislation.
Council and the Mayor express their thanks to Mrs. Raybone for her service and contributions to the organization. Her work alongside staff and Council has been appreciated, and we wish her continued success in future opportunities.
“As an organization evolves, leadership transitions are sometimes necessary,” said Acting Mayor/Reeve Peter Emon. “Council has valued the time we worked with Gloria, and we are confident she will succeed in whatever comes next for her.”
The Town of Renfrew is entering its next stage of growth, focusing on implementing key priorities outlined in the Road to 2035 Strategic Plan to strengthen organizational capacity and prepare for future needs and challenges.
“The coming years will bring growth and change for our Town,” says Emon. “We are taking steps to ensure the Town is equipped with the leadership and structure required for the next decade. Council will be working closely with senior management staff to make sure we can best meet the needs of our residents both now and in the future.”
Further information regarding next steps in the CAO transition will be shared as it becomes available.
