In 2023, Director of Library and Community Services Kelly Thompson says, “The Town of Renfrew is committed to supporting community partners who provide cultural, recreational, and social programs and services to residents.”

Community partners can apply for a grant up to $5,000. To qualify for a grant, applicants must be a not-for-profit organization operating in the Town of Renfrew, outline how their organization meets a need in the community, provide financial statements and annual project budgets, and demonstrate financial need for funding.

Community partner grants can be provided in the following categories:

  • Fee Waiver/Facility Use
  • One Time Capital Projects
  • Organization Support/Operating Grant
  • Programming/Special Event
  • Sponsorship

Applicants will be evaluated for approval by a review team comprised of the Mayor, members of Council, the CAO, Treasurer, and Director of Library and Community Services.
