Mon., Apr. 15 to Sat., Apr. 20: Mini Easter Eggscape! 

Can you solve the puzzles and "eggscape" before your time is? Eggscapees will receive some egg-cellent treat! $5 per player. AGES 8 and up.

Apr. 16, 17 and 18: National Canadian Film Day(s) 

Join us with other libraries and schools across Canada as we screen some amazing Candian Films! 

NCFD gives us an opportunity to celebrate and embrace Canadian culture and stories - French, English, Indigenous and multicultural!

To celebrate, we will be screening the following films at the Renfrew Public Library :

Kayak to Klemtu

When a prominent Kitasoo/Xai’Xais activist passes away, his 14-year-old niece Ella embarks on a kayak journey to take his ashes home to Klemtu. Join this family on the adventure of a lifetime that reflects on the importance of protecting our lands for future generations

Four siblings, adopted as infants into separate families across North America, meet for the first time in this deeply moving documentary. This film tackles grief, redemption and discovery as it chronicles the family’s emotional reunion and captures an event that remains painfully elusive for many Indigenous people.

Tues., Apr. 16: Gardening 101 with Bob (6 pm) — It all starts with the seeds!

Join Bob as he explains how to get started! Free! REGISTER BY APR. 15th!

Tues., Apr. 23: Tax Workshop: Making taxes easy (6 pm) 

Tips and support from the Canada Revenue Agency for adults who have not yet filed their 2018 personal taxes! Please register by Saturday, Apr. 20th.

Fri., Apr. 26: Harry Potter Trivia Night! A Library Fundraiser (6 pm)

Do you know your Muggles from your Wizards? Join us for a fun trivia night fundraiser, where your knowledge of the books & the films will be put to the test! 

Bonus points for team costumes, prize for best dressed, and CASH prize for 1st place!  Ages 8+  BYOSnacks (there will be treats and beverages available for purchase)

$5 per player (under 18)  — $10 per player (over 18) —  Maximum 6 players per team. Space is limited - Register by April 24th!

MAY

Sat., May 4th: Star Wars Day (11 am - 2 pm)

Celebrate all things Star Wars at the Library! Original films screening all day, costume contest, fun treats for sale, trivia, Jedi Yoga with Ro and more!  Stay tuned for detailed schedule!

Tues., May 14th: Travelogue with Ray Parchelo (6 pm)

Travel to Portugal, the island of Madeira and the medieval city of Coimbra; all without leaving the library! FREE! Register by May 13th.
